It has been an exciting day for shoppers in Deal, with the much anticipated Aldi opening its doors for the first time. The ribbon on the door was cut by Olympic rower James Foad at 8:00 am, and the car park quickly filled up as shoppers descended on the store. The freehold of the site – previously a Co-op store – was acquired for Aldi by Cradick Retail. This acquisition lead to the redevelopment of the life-expired building to create a brand new town centre facility.
