Petersfield is an attractive and affluent market town in Hampshire situated 17 miles north of Portsmouth at the junction of the A3 Liphook - Petersfield bypass and the A272 Winchester Road.
Petersfield has a population of c.13,300 and lies within the South Downs National Park.
Site 1 is situated c.300m south of the town centre and is bounded by Borough Road to the north and west, and The Petersfield School and a 35,000 sq ft Tesco superstore to the south and east.
Site 1 is generally level and linear, comprising meadow land and open scrub land with limited tree cover.
It extends to approximately 11.316 acres (4.579 ha) with footpaths running north to south through the middle of the site and along the south east boundary with the adjoining school playing fields.
Existing access to the site is via the north west corner of the Tesco car park but alternative access could be provided via Borough Road - see map.
