Hailsham is a historic market town with a registered population of 21,388 (Hailsham Council), situated 10 miles north of Eastbourne, 23 miles east of Brighton and 18 miles west of Hastings. Communication links to the town are strong with the A295 running through the town centre leading to the A22, which is the main arterial route connecting Eastbourne to London. The town centre is also serviced by five bus routes which cover the surrounding local area.
